Stopseal Fire Pillows used in a compartment wall
Actonfire Fire Pillows are an ideal product to create a temporary or permanent fire barrier around all types of services to prevent the passage of fire through a compartment wall or floor, especially suitable where services are continuously being changed or replaced.
Fire Pillows are filled with organic fillers and intumescent additives in a waterproof glass cloth bag on the outside.
The advantages of using Fire Pillows are:
-Offers a fire barrier up to 4 hours to BS 476 part 20.
-Remains flexible between –20ºC to +130ºC.
-Suitable for indoor and outdoor locations up to 1m².

Installation
Installation details and technical support are available from Actonfire technical department
-Pack bags tightly into the opening around the services
to a minimum depth of 150mm.
-For floor openings install a 5mm mild steel mesh,
arrange fire pillows on the flat side to a minimum depth
of 150mm.
-When cable trunkings pass through the seal infill with
Stopseal sausage pillows.
-Always ensure that large voids are completely filled
and fire pillows are packed tightly.
‧Ensure records of all installations are kept.

Storage and Disposal
Actonfire Fire Pillows are not affected by the outdoor environment. However for long-term storage and ease of installation, it is recommended that they should be stored indoors. No shelf life is given as this product will not deteriorate in storage
